This Tax Information and Impact note details legislation introduced to address adverse tax consequences as a result of age-related unfairness caused by past changes to the pension of members of the Parliamentary Contributory Pension Fund, Members of the Senedd Pension Scheme and the Assembly Members Pension Scheme.
The measure is intended to enable adjustments to pension rights to be made without triggering adverse tax consequences and to put them in an equivalent position they would have been in had they always had the pension provision they finally receive.
