Tarmac Trading Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to abstract water from the underground strata comprising of Bee Low Limestone at Ballidon Quarry, Ashbourne, Derbyshire within the two areas contained within the boundaries formed by straight lines running between the following National Grid References:

Area 1: SK 19533 55790, SK 20440 55790, SK 20430 55111 & SK 19533 55050

Area 2: SK 19810 56124, SK 20208 56174, SK 20459 55880 & SK 19823 55847

To transfer it to Bletch Brook at National Grid Reference SK 19923 52725 without intervening use.
