Tarmac Trading Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number MD/028/0029/012 to abstract water from the Bee Low Limestone at two areas: between National Grid References (NGRs) SK 19533 55790, SK 20440 55790, SK 20430 55111 & SK 19533 55050, and between NGRs SK 19845 56140, SK 20430 56140, SK 20430 55850 & SK 19845 55850, for the purpose of transferring it without intervening use to a soakaway at National Grid Reference SK 20408 55570.

The variation applied for is to increase the maximum hourly, daily and annual quantities, and to increase the maximum flow rate.
