This report addresses questions on residual value set out by the Department for Transport (DfT).

It provides advice on the best use of residual values and appraisal period in multimodal transport appraisal.

The research was completed by the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS) University of Leeds on behalf of the Department for Transport (DfT).

TAG provides information on the role of transport modelling and appraisal, and how the transport appraisal process supports the development of investment decisions to support a business case.
