Swill Bridge flow gauging station

The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement work to the flood defences at Swill Bridge flow gauging station Doniford, West Somerset TA23 0TL (NGR ST08845 42859).

The proposed improvement work will involve repair of the weir crest and downstream apron, construction of an eel pass and repairs to the lining of the chamber to make the stilling well watertight.

The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. The works information is available for review by appointment with the project manager.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
