Details

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) Supply Chain Centre was launched to strengthen national resilience amid increasing global disruptions, geopolitical fragmentation, climate impacts, and technological change.

Its mission is to help secure critical inputs for the UK economy and support long-term business growth by acting as a central hub for supply chain intelligence and policy within government.

The centre’s mission statement sets out 6 main objectives:

  • anticipating future risks
  • identifying essential inputs
  • building domestic capacity
  • diversifying global partnerships
  • managing disruptions
  • supporting businesses

The 14-point action plan explains how the centre will deliver against these objectives, and how it is already working to respond to global shocks and promote economic stability.
