We received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) requesting the following:
‘Within the past two years how many prisoners committed suicide and how many of those were on a 20525H watch?
Of the prisoners who killed themselves, as 1 above, how many were over 100 miles from their home address?
How many prisoners’ self-harm incidents were recorded during the past two years and what percentage of these were located more than 100 miles from their home address?
How much did prisoners spend on telephone calls throughout the system in 2004 and during this period what was the average ‘pay’ across the estate for all prisoners?’
