STEM interventions: teacher research

Details

This document reports on research conducted by the Institute of Education into how teachers find out about and use science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) interventions. It consists of approximately 570 questionnaires to teachers at over 300 UK-wide schools and further education colleges, as well as 10 more in-depth interviews.

The research asked 4 questions:

  1. How do teachers currently find out about STEM interventions?
  2. What interventions are used by teachers and schools?
  3. How would teachers prefer to find information in the future?
  4. What are the most appropriate means of promoting STEM interventions?

The report includes recommendations for businesses and funders of STEM provisions.
