Statutory Maternity Pay: table of dates for employee entitlement

Use these tables to check your employee started with you in time to qualify for maternity pay.

     The Statutory Maternity Pay tables for 2026 have been added.

  2. 27 February 2025

     The Statutory Maternity Pay tables for 2025 have been added. Tables for 2023 have been removed.

  3. 6 April 2024

     The Statutory Maternity Pay tables for 2024 have been added. Tables for 2020, 2021 and 2022 have been removed.

  4. 29 March 2023

     The Statutory Maternity Pay tables for 2023 have been added. Tables for 2019 have been removed.

  5. 17 February 2022

     The Statutory Maternity Pay tables for 2022 have been added. Tables for 2018 have been removed.

  6. 6 April 2021

     The Statutory Maternity Pay tables 2021 have been added.

  7. 27 March 2020

     The Statutory Maternity Pay tables for 2020 have been added and the Statutory Maternity Pay tables for 2017 have been removed.

  8. 15 January 2019

     The Statutory Maternity Pay tables for 2019 have been added and the Statutory Maternity Pay tables for 2016 have been removed.

  9. 8 March 2018

     Rates, allowances and duties have been added for the tax year 2018 to 2019.

  10. 16 February 2017

      Rates, allowances and duties have been added for the tax year 2017 to 2018.

  11. 6 April 2016

      Rates, allowances and duties have been updated for the tax year 2016 to 2017.

  12. 26 February 2015

      The 2015 to 2016 Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) Table for employers to manually check if an employee started with you in time to qualify for SMP is now available.
