The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement work to the flood defences at Startley flow gauging station, Rodbourne Brook, Malmesbury SN16 0EY (NGR ST94027 83155).
The proposed improvement work will involve replacing the gauging hut and stabilising both banks for a distance of approximately 5 metres upstream and downstream of the weir to reduce scour.
The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. The works information is available for review by appointment with the project manager.
Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
