This page explains the Customs Intermediaries Standard and what it means for customs intermediaries and traders.
HMRC sponsored the development of the Standard in partnership with the British Standards Institution (BSI) and sector representatives. It sets out expectations for professional conduct, capability and service delivery.
The Standard aims improve quality and consistency of services provided by the customs intermediary sector and to help traders make more informed choices when selecting an intermediary.
