Published 28 August 2012
Q. I would like to know:
1) the total amount paid out in bonuses 2) the total number of bonuses 3) the highest bonus paid
A: The following table gives details on this:
Financial year | Total amount paid in bonuses | Number of bonuses paid | Highest bonus paid |
---|---|---|---|
2009 to 2010 | £15,900 | 9 | £8,000 |
2010 to 2011 | £16,700 | 10 | £7,500 |
2011 to 2012 | £15,900 | 8 | £7,500 |
As background, the Wales Office is not an employer in its own right and therefore has to fulfil the terms and conditions of its staff depending on their home departments, including entitlements to particular allowances. Similarly the payment of performance related bonuses – all of which are non-consolidated – is not a decision for the Wales Office. Those staff who delivered outstanding performances were entitled to a bonus payment by virtue of the terms and conditions of their home department.
