We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
Regarding HOSDB Speedmeter Handbook - Publication No. 15/05
Section 5.2.1. - Are the requirements which start with the words, “A code representing the location of measurement….” Up to the end of the subsection applicable to all cameras referred to in section 5.1.1, or just to cameras operated with a variable speed limit signs?
Are there any Home Office requirements as a condition of suitability for type approval which relate to the time interval between images taken by automatic devices which do not use video cameras (compare section 7.10.2)?
What are CCIR standards (see 7.10.2.1), and do you know where I can obtain a copy?
Do you know where I can obtain a copy of the Organisation Internationale de Metrologic Legale recommendations?
Are there any Home Office restrictions on the use of attended speedmeter devices by persons other than police officers?
Is there any Home Office requirement that the use of attended speedmeters should only be to corroborate the operator’s prior opinion of speed?
