This report explains the sampling and methodology of the Longitudinal Small Business Survey (LSBS) 2017, a large-scale telephone survey of 6,619 UK small business owners and managers. This is the latest in a series of surveys dating back to 2003. The 2017 survey was carried out between August 2017 and January 2018.
