In his letter to Commissioners, Minister Rowley acknowledges the progress that the Council has made since the Commissioners’ second report, and notes the changes in the Council’s leadership following local government elections in May 2023. The Minister highlights the scale of the remaining challenges facing the Council and makes clear his expectation that progress on the intervention should continue at pace.
