The Department of Education (DfE) announced in September 2024 its intention to remove public funding support for all, or some, level 7 apprenticeships as part of its new Growth and Skills Levy reforms.
To understand the impact of this decision, DfE asked Skills England to consult employers and provide an assessment of how level 7 apprenticeships could be affected.
This document details this assessment based on roundtable discussions with 743 stakeholders and Skills England’s own analysis.
