Sibelco UK Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from glaciofluvial sheet deposits at Rudheath Lodge Quarry (via a groundwater-fed lagoon between National Grid References (NGRs) SJ 74682 70193, SJ 75148 70174, SJ 75582 70069, SJ 75796 69737, SJ 75110 69321 and SJ 74742 69674 to transfer it to a ditch between NGRs SJ 75318 69724 and SJ 74908 70191 without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

Abstraction will take place until 31 July 2032.
