The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has published a prospectus which invites expressions of interest for potential occupation of facilities within Portsmouth Naval Base.
The document outlines possible opportunities for the future use of facilities at the dockyard, which are being vacated by BAE which is stopping shipbuilding at the base. A 13 hectare site situated centrally within the naval base, its future use will be subject to restrictions to ensure compatibility with operational military and security requirements.
Publication of the prospectus forms part of work by the MOD to explore the potential best use of the facilities at Portsmouth for the future.
