SEND bases in mainstream schools: parent views

Details

This research report draws on a survey of parents of children and young people with experience of the following types of provision in mainstream schools:

  • local authority-funded special educational needs (SEN) units or resourced provision
  • school-funded bases that support pupils with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), including internal alternative provision, pupil support units and similar settings within mainstream schools

The report also includes feedback from parents of children with SEND who do not have experience of these types of provision.
