As part of the National Cyber Strategy, the government is working to ensure connected places technology is adopted in a secure way, and to build an international consensus around its approach.

To support this work, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) commissioned Plexal to provide an international evidence base for how other countries are approaching the challenge of securing their connected places.

The report provides an overview of the initiatives that countries have adopted at a regional, national, and international level.

The research will support the government in making informed decisions when it comes to future engagements, and policy decisions that seek to ensure the security and sustainability of connected places in the UK.

This research forms part of the wider evidence base which is informing the government’s policy development on secure connected places. For more information, please see the secure connected places home page.
