Section 6 director disqualifications by insolvency procedure by financial year, Great Britain, 2022/23 to 2024/25

The table below shows the number of director disqualifications under Section 6 of the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986, broken down by the insolvency procedure the company underwent. Section 6 relates to unfit conduct in relation to an insolvent or dissolved company.

While dissolution is not an insolvency procedure, it is included in this table. Dissolved companies were included under Section 6 following the enactment of the Rating (Coronavirus) and Directors Disqualification (Dissolved Companies) Act 2021. The first disqualification using this legislation was made in June 2022. Prior to this, Section 6 related only to insolvent companies.
