Details

The Secretary of State for the Department for Communities and Local Government responds to the Birmingham Independent Improvement Panel’s progress report of 24 February 2016 against the Kerslake recommendations.

The letter recognises the importance of ensuring the council gets onto a sustainable financial footing and acknowledges the decisive action by the council in appointing experienced staff to key posts. It also requests a further report by the end of June.
