Science and Technology Venture Capital Fellowship guidance

The Fellowship is a first-of-its-kind career accelerator for ambitious, mid-career investment professionals in the UK with a strong interest in science and technology.
It creates a network of next generation leaders by providing bespoke learning and professional development opportunities across the UK’s world-leading Deep Tech and Life Sciences ecosystem.
Fellowship structure
Designed to be undertaken alongside a full-time job, the Fellowship offers world-class training and support to create future industry leaders in venture capitalism. This may include but not be limited to:
- Foundational Content – Four in-person modules delivered by Imperial Business School’s finance professors, paired with guest lectures from leading industry experts covering topics such as portfolio construction, portfolio management and fund structuring, with a deep tech and life sciences focus.
- engagement with the science and technology base through networking events and visits giving participants direct access to the UK’s leading science and technology institutions and innovation ecosystem
- experiential learning through exposure to scaling firms and the R&D base across the life sciences and deep tech ecosystem, and mentoring
- in-person modules will be delivered as intensive contact days at regular intervals throughout the year, complimented where relevant by online and by experiential learning

Eligibility
Candidates for the Science and Technology Venture Capital Fellowship should be:
- currently living and working in the UK venture capital industry with a minimum of 3 years of investing experience, or;
- currently working in other asset classes in UK based and registered firms with at least 3 years of investing experience (e.g. family office, university investing, angel investing, secondaries, accelerator).
