This document contains a set of practical questions to help you decide how your School Direct programme will be set up and run. It suggests a number of areas to consider, including:
- the kind of candidates you want to recruit
- how you will make the best use of expertise available across your school partners and from your chosen training provider
- how you will move trainees into employment after their training
It also includes questions to ask teacher training providers, such as:
- the subjects, phases, specialisms and qualifications they offer
- where your trainees would go for training
- how involved your school would be in recruitment and selection
