Minister Hoare’s letter to the Leader of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council in response to their fourth report to the Secretary of State, noting that there has been considerable progress since the Council’s and Commissioners’ third reports.
Ministers agree that there is now no evidence to suggest the Council is failing its Best Value Duty; as such the Directions will expire on 22 March and the statutory intervention end.
