In their fourth report the Commissioner provides an update on the progress of the intervention in Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council between July 2023 and December 2023.
Commissioners note that there has been considerable progress since the third report. They believe that there is now no evidence to suggest the Council is failing its Best Value Duty; as such they recommend that the Directions should expire on 22 March and the statutory intervention end.
