Details

The Disposal Services Authority (DSA) is inviting expressions of interest in tendering for the Type 42’s HMS Liverpool and HMS Manchester for recycling.

At this stage the DSA does not require interested parties to specify which vessel/s they wish to bid for. All interested parties wishing to tender for either or both of these vessels will need to have successfully completed a Pre Qualification Questioner (PQQ) before being invited to tender for the vessel/s.

The vessels are moored at Portsmouth and will be sold from there.

A copy of the PQQ can be downloaded here or you can e-mail the DSA’s commercial section requesting a copy at DESLCSLS-DSA-Comrcl-3a1@mod.uk

Details for each vessel can be found in the documents on this page.

The inventory of hazardous material and asbestos survey will be included in the tender documents.

Inspection of the vessels will be held early April; dates will be confirmed in the tender documents. Only bidders that are invited to tender will be allowed to inspect the vessel/s.

The closing date for returning the PQQ to the DSA and expression of interest is 5pm (GMT) Thursday 27 February 2014.
