S H Spours and Sons: application made to abstract water

S H Spours and Sons have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Till at Henlaw Farm between National Grid Reference (NGR) NU 06101 28490 and NGR NU 04597 29093.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 50 cubic metres an hour
- 354 cubic metres a day
- 11,395 cubic metres a year
- between May and August inclusive in each year.
This application to abstract water is in additional to an existing exempt abstraction (which S H Spours & Sons have applied to license under the Transitional Regulations 2017).
