Details

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 have been reviewed twice by Health and Safety Executive since implementation.

The Regulatory Policy Committee (RPC) gave a ‘green’ rating to the first post-implementation review in 2016 and the second post-implementation review in 2022.

This means that we considered the reviews to be fit for purpose based on our scrutiny of the evidence and analysis presented.

The RPC’s opinion refers to the evidence and analysis in the review, not the policy itself.
