This section of case histories provides guidance to departments on the RPC’s expectations for the assessment of measures at primary legislation stage. This section includes examples of cases the RPC has seen for scrutiny, in areas such as transport, pensions and business registration.

This guidance was created under an old version of the Better Regulation Framework. It is currently under review.
