This report provides the first insight into the questionnaire collected throughout 2019 and early 2020 from people who sleep rough.

This report provides invaluable insights into the experiences of people who have slept rough. The findings are based on interviews with over 500 respondents, all of whom had slept rough within the last year.

This report explores the respondents support needs and vulnerabilities, experiences of homelessness and use of public services, and includes an estimate of the fiscal cost associated with someone who sleeps rough.

The technical annexes include a description of the research sub-samples, methodology for fiscal unit costs, statistical analysis of associations between different variables, and a copy of the questionnaire. The qualitative analysis annex describes respondents reported experience of services from their free-text responses.

The summary pack provides a brief overview of the findings from the survey, presenting the findings for the respondents who had slept rough in the last year (563) and all respondents (991).
