The Environment Agency proposes to change the existing main river map at River Ebbsfleet, Northfleet, Kent. It proposes the change as a ‘determination’ under section 193C(1) of the Water Resources Act 1991. A determination is a formal decision to change the main river map.

The proposed determination is that the Environment Agency will correct the main river map between national grid reference (NGR) TQ 61781 72559 and NGR TQ 61976 74950.

For each correction, the main river is to be the watercourse shown as an ‘addition’ on the main river consultation map rather than the watercourse shown as a ‘deletion’. The change means that the map would show the correct location of the watercourse. It does not change who has power to carry out flood risk management work on the watercourse.
