The Environment Agency proposes to change the existing main river map at River Darent, Horton Kirby, Kent. We propose the change as a ‘determination’ under section 193C(1) of the Water Resources Act 1991. A determination is a formal decision to change the main river map.
The proposed determination is that the Environment Agency will correct the main river map between national grid reference (NGR) TQ 56198 69184 and NGR TQ 56339 69874. The main river is to be the watercourse shown as an ‘addition’ on the main river consultation map rather than the watercourse shown as a ‘deletion’.
These changes mean that the map would show the correct location of the watercourse. They do not change who has power to carry out flood risk management work on the watercourse.
