Review of UK NCP final statement: complaint from IAP and WDM against GCM Resources Plc in Bangladesh

Recommendation of the UK NCP Steering Board on a request for review of the NCP’s procedure in a complaint against GCM Resources.

On 15 May 2014, an application was made by 2 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for review of the final statement by the UK National Contact Point.

The 2 NGOs are:

  • the International Accountability Project (IAP), a civil society organisation based in the United States
  • the World Development Movement (WDP), a civil society organisation based in the United Kingdom

This records the recommendation of the Review Committee, appointed by the UK National Contact Point’s Steering Board, on the NCP final statement on a complaint. The complaint was from the International Accountability Project and the World Development Movement about activities of GCM Resources Plc in Bangladesh.
