The TSRB was asked on 24 July 1987 by the Lord Privy Seal to undertake a review of aspects of the parliamentary pension scheme and other matters including resettlement grants for Members of the House of Commons who retire at a general election, the pensions of the Prime Minister, Mr Speaker and the Lord Chancellor and ministerial severance pay.

This Report sets out the TSRB’s analysis and recommendations.
