The automatic enrolment earnings trigger determines who gets automatically enrolled into a workplace pension. The qualifying earnings band sets minimum contribution levels for money purchase schemes. These thresholds are reviewed each year and revised if appropriate.
This analysis supports the annual review of the automatic enrolment earnings trigger and qualifying earnings band for 2014/15. It includes analysis of costs to employers, workers and government for the proposed thresholds and the various options considered.
