The CMA has published its response to the Scottish Government’s consultation on its Draft Energy Strategy and Just Transition Plan.
By drawing on its portfolio of work in this area, the CMA’s response highlights the importance of

considering the impacts of policies on competition and consumers;

ensuring that new and changing markets promoting environmental goals work in ways which benefit people, fair-dealing businesses and the wider economy;

enabling consumers to make informed choices based on reliable information; and
-
enabling businesses to adopt technologies, compete and innovate on the merits of sustainability.
