Following a Freedom of Information request for work the department has undertaken on the impact of the staff:child childcare ratios proposed in ‘More great childcare’, we are publishing 2 documents examining the costs and benefits of the proposed changes.

Release

The first paper uses the example of a hypothetical full day childcare provider to examine the potential costs and benefits of making use of these ratios. The second paper provides supplementary analysis.
