Reported fraud crimes disseminated to law enforcement agencies for investigation

The National Fraud Authority holds statistics supplied by the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (NFIB) which is run by the City of London Police, the national lead force for fraud.

According to the information held by the National Fraud Authority, up to February 2013 the NFIB have disseminated 17,861 crimes. This figure reflects the number of enforcement disseminations from the NFIB to police forces and law enforcement agencies for investigation and further action.

It is not a reflection of the total number of disseminations completed by the NFIB, some of which may originate from intelligence sources other than specific crime reports.
