Relationship support trials for new parents

Details

Much evidence exists around the breakdown of relationships and the negative associations this has on adult physical and mental health. Breakdown in this context refers not only to couple separation but also a substantial decline in the quality of the relationship.

In light of this evidence and the positive effects seen overseas, it was deemed appropriate to trial early intervention relationship support to new parents in Britain.

This report sets out the findings and results from the relationship support trials. These trials ran from October 2012 to June 2013.
