Details

This document sets out the broad framework within which the RPC operates as an advisory non-departmental public body of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), and the relationship it has with Better Regulation Executive (BRE) as the sponsor for the RPC.

The RPC provides government with insights on the operation of the better regulation framework, gained through its scrutiny function, and how well this meets ministers’ stated better regulation policy intentions but may not comment publicly on any other aspect of government policy.
