Notification to Parliament of a published draft instrument pursuant to paragraph 14 of schedule 8 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018

Statutory instrument: The Renewable Transport Fuel Obligations (Amendment) Order 2022

This notification is provided in line with the requirements of paragraph 14 of schedule 8 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, the enhanced scrutiny procedure for instruments which amend or revoke subordinate legislation under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 (including subordinate legislation implementing EU directives). In addition to this notification we are providing PDF copies of the published draft instrument and draft explanatory memorandum.

In line with section 14 (2) the SI has been published in draft for comment. A draft of the instrument will be laid under the draft affirmative procedure not before a period of 28 days from the date of publication.

A written ministerial statement has been tabled and notice has also been given to the Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments and the Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee.
