We were asked for:

  • details of new regulations, including primary legislation, statutory instruments, etc sponsored, enacted or proposed by the department or within the department’s sphere of authority - eg as a result of EU decision
  • details of regulations, including primary legislation, statutory instruments, etc, abolished, repealed, proposed for abolition by the department or within the department’s sphere of authority since May 2010

The Wales Office has sponsored, enacted or proposed the following Statutory Instruments since May 2010:

  • the National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Housing and Local Government) Order 2010
  • the National Assembly for Wales (Representation of the People) (Amendment) Order 2010
  • the Data Protection (Processing of Sensitive Personal Data) (Elected Representatives) (Amendment) Order 2010
  • the Education (Inspectors of Education and Training in Wales) Order 2010

A further 3 Orders relate to the referendum on further powers for the National Assembly for Wales in March 2011:

  • the National Assembly for Wales Referendum (Assembly Act Provisions) (Referendum Question, Date of Referendum Etc.) Order 2010
  • the National Assembly for Wales Referendum (Assembly Act Provisions) (Limit on Referendum Expenses Etc.) Order 2010
  • the National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Amendment of Schedule 7 to the Government of Wales Act 2006) Order 2010

One further Order was laid before Her Majesty in Council by the Wales Office on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government:

  • The National Assembly for Wales (Disqualification) Order 2010

The Wales Office has also put forward the following Legislative Competence Order (LCO) for pre-legislative scrutiny in Parliament:

  • The proposed National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Health and Health Services) Order 2011

The Wales Office repealed the following Statutory Instrument:

  • The National Assembly for Wales (Disqualification) Order 2006
