This guide supports Public Sector Bodies in commercialising their Knowledge Assets (KAs) outside of the public sector, in compliance with the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015 (the Regulations) and Crown copyright.

The guide offers a practical framework to help navigate the Regulations and Crown copyright and database rights rules relevant to public sector KAs.

The guide covers:

• compliance with the Regulations
• Crown copyright and its licensing requirements
• different KA types and key considerations for determining the best route for commercialisation
• potential routes for commercialisation
