Details

Rapid deployment cells (RDCs) are accommodation units that are built offsite and can be deployed on existing prison grounds. They provide a quicker deployment route and can utilise smaller parcels of land than alternative accommodation options such as houseblocks.

A process evaluation was undertaken to explore how the programme was delivered and any perceived early outcomes on prisoners and staff. It also sought to identify parts of the process and implementation that worked well, and any lessons learnt.
