Throughout the last financial year, RWM has continued to make good progress on its mission to deliver a Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) and provide radioactive waste management solutions. Details of our achievements and financial performance are outlined in this annual report 2018-2019.
The annual report highlights how RWM is:
- Implementing government policy on the geological disposal of higher activity waste
- Working proactively with waste producers, planning for and delivering waste management solutions
- Delivering a robust technical programme to support the GDF Programme and Waste Management
- Developing into a high performing delivery organisation
The report also looks ahead to the next five years, highlighting RWM’s focus on working closely with communities involved in the GDF siting process, to provide information, answer questions, and work in partnership to help develop a community vision.
