Details

This post-implementation review (PIR) examines the costs, benefits and overall impact of The Pubs Code etc. Regulations 2016 (‘the code’) in England and Wales since it came into force. It considers:

  • the extent to which the regulation is working
  • whether it has achieved its original objectives
  • whether intervention through a statutory code remains the most appropriate approach

This is an analytical document published alongside the third statutory review of the Pubs Code and Pubs Code Adjudicator, 2022 to 2025.
