Notes
These valuation reports have been prepared under the HM Treasury (HMT) Public Service Pensions (Valuations and Employer Cost Cap) Directions 2023, and the Department of Finance (DoF) Public Service Pensions (Valuations and Employer Cost Cap) Directions (Northern Ireland) 2023. The valuations tested the cost control mechanism for all the schemes and for the unfunded pension schemes informed the contribution rates to be paid into the schemes by employers between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2027.
The reports for the funded Local Government Pension Scheme England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland reflect that employer contributions are set in local fund valuations, not by the Government Actuary’s Department valuation under either the HMT or DoF directions.
