This document provides detail on a wine product from the UK, Sussex, which is being considered under the EU protected food names scheme.

We have applied to the EU to get Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status for this product. An application has completed national scrutiny and submitted to the EU for scrutiny.

The EU protected food and drink name scheme covers regional and traditional food and drinks whose authenticity and origin can be guaranteed.

To get a product protected under PDO, it must be produced, processed and prepared in one area and have distinct characteristics from this area.
