This document considers 6 objectives provisionally identified for the third road investment strategy (RIS3) and outlines the 3 stages of the process for preparing RIS3, namely:

  • research phase, including public consultation
  • decision phase
  • mobilisation phase

Interested stakeholders are invited to contribute to this process and this document explains how to get involved.

RIS3 will explain the government’s aims and proposals for investment in the strategic road network from 2025 to 2030.
